The Baka Project
The Baka Project is currently active in the fields of Agriculture, Health and Sanitation as well as Education. The work of the project is concentrated in southern and south-eastern Cameroon in sub-saharan Africa.

The Baka Project is currently active in the following areas:
  • Agriculture
    Agricultural activities include training the Baka Pygmies to cultivate edible crops such as corn, cassava, groundnuts etc.

  • Health and Sanitation
    In this area, the project creates awareness among the Baka about the various tropical ailments and how they can be prevented

  • Education
    Educational activities are further divided into two groups:
    • Education of children
    • Adult literacy programmes

    • All activities of the project are funded by well-wishers. Contributions are made by private individuals as well as public organisations in the form of donations, sponshorship of entire sub-projects as well as by “adoption” of a Baka child or of an entire Baka camp.
